Questions about products, care & maintenance of lace wigs and hair units
One of my lace wigs is shedding hair at a rapid pace and has developed a bald spot on the side. Do I send it to you and you let me know how much hair re-
ventilation will cost, then I send you payment? Or if it shedding all over, would you recommend, to buy a replacement as opposed to trying to reventilate
it. The wig is less than a year old but I wore it non stop. Just let me know. You may return the wig to me if you purchased it from MsLola.com. I will let you
know the cost after receiving it. Please include your name, phone number and email address inside the package with the wig. Also, if the wig has too much hair
loss, you may want to purchase another because the reventilation cost will be excessive. Lastly, we do not repair silk top and mono tops wigs or hair units.
If Malaysian Remy hair is unprocessed, does the hair retain its texture after washing several times? Particularly, Yaki Kinky, Yaki Straight, or plain Yaki.
Unprocessed Malaysian Hair is virgin and silky straight. We would have to process the virgin hair into Yaki Kinky, Yaki Straight, or plain Yaki, which would render
it no longer virgin or unprocessed, however those textures would remain after shampoos.
Regarding lace cap with full silk cap -- in the custom order can the cap be ordered as half silk cap rather than full silk cap? If so, what would be the price?
Yes, you can order a half silk cap. The price would be approximately $25 less than a full silk cap.
If a client is going through chemotherapy and has lost all hair, will the Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream be all that is needed to keep the lace unit in place?
Chemotherapy changes the chemical balance of ones body, therefore the bonding qualities of MLAC may react unpredictably. I suggest that you use two wide
layers since you do not have hair to interfere with the bonding area. This should ensure ultimate bonding.
Do you have a product that help control severe itching from wearing lace wigs? We do not have a product for severe itching. It sounds like you're having an
allergic reaction to the adhesives. I suggest you see a dermatologist.
Before I purchase one of your synthetic wigs, I wanted to know how long do they last? With proper care and maintenance, synthetic wigs can last up to 6
months.

Hello Ms Lola, I was either on your website or watching you on YouTube and you used a piece of fabric or something to create a scalp in your lace wig
without wearing a stocking cap, what was the fabric and how did you do that? Thank you for your videos and website. Hi, I used a parting insert, which is a
swatch cut from a wig cap and attached to the underside of the lace of your wig with adhesive tapes. This method is great to use in the crown of your wig for
partings.
I am 65 years old and was informed that I should consider only a frontal lace front wig instead of a full, because as we get older the perspiration is much
greater on the back of the neck. Is this true? Which one would you recommend? If only your front hairline is affected by hair loss, and the rest of your hair is
thick and full, a frontal or half wig is an excellent choice because you can attach it to your hair with clips. If all of your hair is thin, you will need a full lace wig.
Also, your age isn't a factor. Adhesives are available that will keep the back of your wig bonded even if you perspire.
I want to purchase a virgin piece. When I am going through the order form it says processed straight. Add an additional $20.00. I am not sure what this
means. Is the virgin hair wavy? Indian Virgin hair is slightly wavy in it's original, unprocessed form (as pictured on the Virgin Indian Wigs page at www.MsLola.
com). If you want the hair processed straight or into another texture, the cost is $20 additional.
I want to thank you I learned to install my lace wig and love it. I have one problem I can not keep the back from detaching. Any recommendations?
I suggest that you layer 2 or 3 adhesives in the back. For example, a layer of MLAC; a layer of adhesive tapes, and a layer of No Tape liquid adhesive. You can
alternative or create new layering adhesive methods until you find which works best for your body chemistry and lifestyle.

I purchased a jar of the bonding cream and I loved it,but it became rubberized when the jar was only half used,I kept it in a drawer in the coolest room in
the house. How do I keep this from happening again? When MLAC is shipped with ground transit during winter months, it can congeal. This is the reason that
we issue a disclaimer on the product page and suggest that customers have the cream shipped overnight to avoid this problem. Also, you should not store the
cream in a cool area, as this adds to the chances of the cream congealing and becoming irreversibly ruined.
I live in Europe and I would like to order for some MLAC, what would the shipping cost be? Shipping with USPS is $40 for Priority; $55 for Express. UPS
starts at $115 and will vary according to your location.

Ms. Lola what exactly do u use to keep your wigs bonded for 2 weeks or more? I've tried the vapon no tape and supertape and didnt get a hold longer than
a week or so. What do u use around the hairline and then the nape area? I use 2 layers of MLAC, band-aids and either No Tape or Super Tapes. I usually
touch up any areas that lift during the 2-week period with No Tape.
Do you have to use fray block on a full lace wig. You should never use fray blocks or knot sealers on new wigs. To do so can dry out the hair and cause
brittleness, breakage and excessive shedding. Use these products only as a last resort if wigs are shedding excessively. Even then use caution and apply on

What is the BEST AND STRONGEST way to do an application using MLAC and a tape adhesive? Which tape adhesive do you recommend and are the tapes
water based? The best application for MLAC and adhesive tapes is to apply the cream to your skin, allow it to dry clear, and then apply the tapes over it. For a
super bond, you can apply another layer of MLAC over the tapes before bonding to the lace. Also, Super Tapes, True Blue Tapes, and AirFlex tapes are all
waterproof, with bonding times up to 3 weeks.
Im allergic to silicone based prod. such as NO TAPE..If I use the bandage wrap technique will that protect my skin?? do you apply the NO TAPE to your skin
at all or just the bandage wrap? My band-aid method will protect your hairline and skin. You will apply No Tape to the band-aid only and not your skin and then
bond the lace to the band-aid.
Which adhesive is best for bonding full lace wigs and hair units? Adhesives work differently for individuals according to ones body chemistry, lifestyle, and
expertise in application? Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream is easiest to apply because it offers a one step application. Adhesive tapes are also fairly easy to apply.
The straight strips and contours strips are best for beginners. Seasoned wearers often prefer the less expensive tape rolls and will cut them as needed to fit
the bonding area. Liquid adhesives such as No Tape offer the longest bonding times but can be messy to apply and turn white under the application if applied
too thickly. In general, Ms Lola suggests that you experiment with different adhesives and adhesive methods until you find the combination(s) that works best
for you.
I have sensitive skin and have tried several different adhesives. I noticed in all of your videos that you use No Tape (which is silicone based) for a strong
hold. What would you recommend to someone who can ONLY USE WATER BASED ADHESIVES and exercises often? Unfortunately, sensitive skin presents
a problem for bonding lace wigs and hair units to the skin because in order to get a strong bond, aggressive adhesives such as No Tape are required.
Although Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream is waterproof, it does require use with either No Tape or adhesive tapes to provide a bond strong enough to withstand the
excessive perspiration encountered with regular exercising.
Which adhesive(s) bond for the longest amount of time? Bonding times will vary for the same reasons as given above. The average bonding time is one
week. Longer bonding times can be achieve by layering adhesives, which means using one to three products together. Remember to aim for transparency in
applications. If you choose to layer, apply the adhesives thinly and smoothly. A maximum of two are recommended for the center front hairline. You can use
three at the temples down and the back hairline.
Can wigs be reused or just worn once? Quality wigs can worn for up to one year. Average wearing times between installations and removals is 2 weeks,
which is the average time the wig will remain bonded.
Will 99% alcohol damage or discolor my wig after using it multiple time to detach the lace unit? 99% Alcohol will not discolor the lace or damage the hair.
My scalp is really dry. Can I grease my scalp under my wig? Any type of oil will cause adhesives to resist bonding. Try using moisturizing shampoos and
conditioners to control dry scalps instead of oils.
Can you use spritz on wigs? You can use spritz, however, make sure all styling products are low or absent of alcohol content, as alcohol will dry out the hair,
cause shedding, breaking and tangling.
Which is a better adhesive, Ultra Hold or No Tape? No Tape is definitely a better adhesive, as Ultra Hold is very aggressive, messy to apply, and difficult to
remove from skin, lace, and hair.
I work out for 40 minutes daily and I have hot flashes so I sweat and your adhesive cream only held for one week. I know my sweating may be the
problem, but how can I get a longer bonding time? The average bonding time for MLAC is one week, even with heavy perspiration, however, ones body
chemistry can affect its effectiveness. For a longer bonding time, you can use adhesive tapes or No Tape with the cream. Also, let the first layer dry completely
clear. Press the lace to the second layer when the cream is slightly white. The cream will dry clear under the lace to form a strong bond.
How long should I wait for Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream to dry before pressing the lace to it? How long should I wait for No Tape to dry? Should I put adhesive
on my skin and the lace? Allow the first layer of MLAC to dry clear for however long it takes; press the lace to the second layer of MLAC before the cream dries.
When the cream has dried clear the bond is set. Wait 2 hours before showering or exercising. Let No Tape dry for 60 seconds, and then lightly at first to more
firmly, press lace to it. Let the application dry for 2 hours before getting it wet. I suggest applying cream and liquid adhesives to the skin only.
How often should you use knot sealer on a wig so that it won't shed? And how much shedding is normal if any? Knots are sealed at the factory so you don't
need to seal them again unless shedding is excessive. Using knot sealers on new wigs can actually damage the hair and cause dryness, breakage and
premature shedding. Wigs normally shed 20 to 50 hairs a day. For this reason, they will generally need hair re-ventilation in 6 months to one year.
Can extensive glue and tape use on the skin eventually cause skin damage or worse---maybe a form of cancer? Have there been any studies on this do
you know? Since bonding of lace wigs is relatively new, long-term adverse effects of adhesives have not been established. I do not know of any studies that
have been conducted on these products. I recommend that you continue to research this information if you have a genuine concern.
What is the best product to use for touch ups between my applications? How do I perform touch ups? I suggest either MLAC or No Tape for touch ups.
Remove all adhesive from your skin and lace with a cotton swab saturated with 99% alcohol where the application has lifted. Let skin and lace dry, then apply
MLAC or No Tape to your skin with a small Precision Application brush (sold on the Accessories page at our Online Store.) Wait 60 seconds and then press
lace to adhesive.

What is the BEST AND STRONGEST way to do an application using MLAC and a tape adhesive? Which tape adhesive do you recommend and are the tapes
water based? The best application for MLAC and adhesive tapes is to apply the cream to your skin, allow it to dry clear, and then apply the tapes over it. For a
super bond, you can apply another layer of MLAC over the tapes before bonding to the lace. Also, Super Tapes, True Blue Tapes, and AirFlex tapes are all
waterproof, with bonding times up to 3 weeks.
Im allergic to silicone based prod. such as NO TAPE..If I use the bandage wrap technique will that protect my skin?? do you apply the NO TAPE to your skin
at all or just the bandage wrap? My band-aid method will protect your hairline and skin. You will apply No Tape to the band-aid only and not your skin and then
bond the lace to the band-aid.
Which adhesive is best for bonding full lace wigs and hair units? Adhesives work differently for individuals according to ones body chemistry, lifestyle, and
expertise in application? Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream is easiest to apply because it offers a one step application. Adhesive tapes are also fairly easy to apply.
The straight strips and contours strips are best for beginners. Seasoned wearers often prefer the less expensive tape rolls and will cut them as needed to fit
the bonding area. Liquid adhesives such as No Tape offer the longest bonding times but can be messy to apply and turn white under the application if applied
too thickly. In general, Ms Lola suggests that you experiment with different adhesives and adhesive methods until you find the combination(s) that works best
for you.
I have sensitive skin and have tried several different adhesives. I noticed in all of your videos that you use No Tape (which is silicone based) for a strong
hold. What would you recommend to someone who can ONLY USE WATER BASED ADHESIVES and exercises often? Unfortunately, sensitive skin presents
a problem for bonding lace wigs and hair units to the skin because in order to get a strong bond, aggressive adhesives such as No Tape are required.
Although Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream is waterproof, it does require use with either No Tape or adhesive tapes to provide a bond strong enough to withstand the
excessive perspiration encountered with regular exercising.
Which adhesive(s) bond for the longest amount of time? Bonding times will vary for the same reasons as given above. The average bonding time is one
week. Longer bonding times can be achieve by layering adhesives, which means using one to three products together. Remember to aim for transparency in
applications. If you choose to layer, apply the adhesives thinly and smoothly. A maximum of two are recommended for the center front hairline. You can use
three at the temples down and the back hairline.
Can wigs be reused or just worn once? Quality wigs can worn for up to one year. Average wearing times between installations and removals is 2 weeks,
which is the average time the wig will remain bonded.
Will 99% alcohol damage or discolor my wig after using it multiple time to detach the lace unit? 99% Alcohol will not discolor the lace or damage the hair.
My scalp is really dry. Can I grease my scalp under my wig? Any type of oil will cause adhesives to resist bonding. Try using moisturizing shampoos and
conditioners to control dry scalps instead of oils.
Can you use spritz on wigs? You can use spritz, however, make sure all styling products are low or absent of alcohol content, as alcohol will dry out the hair,
cause shedding, breaking and tangling.
Which is a better adhesive, Ultra Hold or No Tape? No Tape is definitely a better adhesive, as Ultra Hold is very aggressive, messy to apply, and difficult to
remove from skin, lace, and hair.
I work out for 40 minutes daily and I have hot flashes so I sweat and your adhesive cream only held for one week. I know my sweating may be the
problem, but how can I get a longer bonding time? The average bonding time for MLAC is one week, even with heavy perspiration, however, ones body
chemistry can affect its effectiveness. For a longer bonding time, you can use adhesive tapes or No Tape with the cream. Also, let the first layer dry completely
clear. Press the lace to the second layer when the cream is slightly white. The cream will dry clear under the lace to form a strong bond.
How long should I wait for Ms Lola's Adhesive Cream to dry before pressing the lace to it? How long should I wait for No Tape to dry? Should I put adhesive
on my skin and the lace? Allow the first layer of MLAC to dry clear for however long it takes; press the lace to the second layer of MLAC before the cream dries.
When the cream has dried clear the bond is set. Wait 2 hours before showering or exercising. Let No Tape dry for 60 seconds, and then lightly at first to more
firmly, press lace to it. Let the application dry for 2 hours before getting it wet. I suggest applying cream and liquid adhesives to the skin only.
How often should you use knot sealer on a wig so that it won't shed? And how much shedding is normal if any? Knots are sealed at the factory so you don't
need to seal them again unless shedding is excessive. Using knot sealers on new wigs can actually damage the hair and cause dryness, breakage and
premature shedding. Wigs normally shed 20 to 50 hairs a day. For this reason, they will generally need hair re-ventilation in 6 months to one year.
Can extensive glue and tape use on the skin eventually cause skin damage or worse---maybe a form of cancer? Have there been any studies on this do
you know? Since bonding of lace wigs is relatively new, long-term adverse effects of adhesives have not been established. I do not know of any studies that
have been conducted on these products. I recommend that you continue to research this information if you have a genuine concern.
What is the best product to use for touch ups between my applications? How do I perform touch ups? I suggest either MLAC or No Tape for touch ups.
Remove all adhesive from your skin and lace with a cotton swab saturated with 99% alcohol where the application has lifted. Let skin and lace dry, then apply
MLAC or No Tape to your skin with a small Precision Application brush (sold on the Accessories page at our Online Store.) Wait 60 seconds and then press
lace to adhesive.

How do i sleep if i have bonded my wig for the max amount time? For Straight wigs, you should twirl the hair in a chignon and then cover with a satin cap; for
wavy and curly wigs, you should make sure the hair is dry, make one or two braids and then cover with a satin cap.
I have noticed a lot of people shave their hairline. Do I really have to shave my hairline and is that something you recommend? Several people do shave their
hairlines to get a flawless application. This method is only for someone who has hair loss or who is comfortable with shaving their hairline. I do not recommend
shaving for someone who has a healthy hairline or someone who is uncomfortable with this preparation method. My band-aid method is a good alternative for
those with healthy hairlines or those who choose not to shave their hairlines to apply a lace wig.
Do you have to order a custom wig to get one with adjustable back straps, or do you have any in stock? Occasionally, we have them in stock but usually they

I like to wear my wigs pulled back in a tight ponytail. Can you create a hairline with a very light density, that would not look so wiggish? A hairline that,
when pulled back in a tight ponytail,i could see some scalp around the edges. You can order a custom wig with lesser density around the front hairline to
achieve the appearance you want.
I am considering the band aide application method. I work out everyday. Will sweat loosen bond on the band aide or cause an odor. What about
shampooing with this method? Excessive and repeated perspiration can cause the band-aid application to loosen. The band-aids can smell of sweat, as it
takes longer for them to dry under your wig. I do not recommend shampooing the wig on your head with the band-aid method.
For the freestyle wigs, do you have to cut the wig or can you just comb and style? Freestyle wigs are uncut and unstyled, so that you can cut (trim), comb and
style them as you choose.
I have never worn a lace wig. I am planning on buying a full lace unit soon. My question is, can I go to the hairdresser to get my head wash and set with a
lace wig on? It is not advisable to have the wig shampooed on your head. It is best to thoroughly shampoo, condition and set the wig while off the head and then
re-install it on your cleanse skin and hair.

How far back should you cut the lace of your wig, before installation and what should I be careful not to do when cutting my lace wig? You should cut the
lace approximately 1/8" from the hairline of the wig. You should not cut so close to the hairline of the wig that you do not leave a sufficient area (about 1/2") for
bonding to your skin. Tip: Always try wig on first before cutting the lace. This will allow you to see how close you can safely cut the lace to the hairline of the wig.
Can your wigs be secured without bonding? I prefer not to use bonding. I saw on the Tyra show that she secures her wigs with hair pins. I have tried
many types of adhesives but none will hold for more than a day or two. My wig always ends up sliding to the back. Currently, we do not offer glueless wigs
or wigs that can be attached with hair pins, only ones designed to be attached with adhesives and clips. The bonding method you're using may be the reason
your wig does not stayed secure. You may want to try layering (using 2 to 3 adhesives at a time) for stronger bonding.
What is the hair density for your stock full lace wigs with clips? All units are 100% density unless otherwise stated in descriptions.
I was wondering, when ordering a wig, can you measure length from the nape of the neck or is it only from the crown? You can measure the wig in both
areas because all strands of hair for our wigs are the same length. For example, if you select 8-inch hair, hair strands will be 8 inches at the crown and the nape.
My wig will not stay bonded for longer than an hour and I have tried every adhesive including MLAC. It starts puckering and lifting in the back first and then
the sides and front until it is completely lifted. What am I doing wrong? An application should definitely last longer than one day. A wig bonds optimally when
it fits your head like a glove. The way you're describing the progressive lifting, it sounds like your wig might be too large. This will cause gapping and air pockets,
therefore adhesives can not keep lace bonded to your skin.
Is the French lace stiff, or is the German French stiff? I love the stiffness. It keeps its shape and lays better as well as bonds good for me. French lace is
more stiff than German French lace.
Is the lace frontal cap with clips the same as a full lace with clips. And can I get ether one with the mono-filament crown? The frontal with clips is not the

What is the difference between single, double, triple bleached knots? Hairs are tied through the lace foundation and knotted at the base of the cap to

went swimming, will my natural hair get wet? Unless you are completely bald under the wig, your hair will get wet from swimming.

wig that is recommended is 4 inches. If it is longer, the knots can come undone from excessive combing. For the style you're looking for, I suggest a crown unit

Can I successfully dye about three inches of a black full lace wig platinum from top to bottom on one side? If so what product do you recommend? You can
only dye virgin wigs which have never been processed with coloring or other chemicals. You should never dye wigs that have already been processed with color
or chemicals.
What if you have a lot of baby hair and side burns? Would I have to remove them, or can I just cover them with the full lace wig? The lace of wigs will not
bond to hairy areas, so you will have to shave away excessive hair or used my band-aid method to protect your hairline.
Can you exercise while wearing the wig? Will sweat loosen the bond? Can I wash the wig on my head like I do with my own? You can exercise while
wearing the wig. The bond should not loosen if you use waterproof adhesives that will provide a secure bond. You can not shampoo the wig on your head like
your own hair. You can lightly shampoo the wig on your head if you have little to no hair underneath.
Can you please give me some advice on cleaning my wig? I can not remove the glue from the lace? I recommend that you use Ms Lola's Lace
Release/Adhesive Remover in conjunction with 99% alcohol. Allow the my remover to soak into the adhesive for several minutes, then use a cotton ball soaked
in alcohol to wipe away the adhesive. Repeat as often as necessary until all adhesive is removed.
Does transparent lace blend with all skin tones? Transparent lace is a pinkish color and not actually transparent (invisible). It is suitable for Caucasian and
very light African-American skin tones.
Do I have to apply adhesive behind/around the ear area with a full lace cap? If your wig fits properly (snugly like a glove) you do not have to apply adhesive
behind the ear area, not even for the full lace cap design.
What is the difference between full lace wigs and full cranial prosthesis? Both units are the same. Full cranial prosthesis is the term that insurance
companies use for full lace wigs.
What are the differences in laces? French lace is more durable than Swiss, yet not as transparent, but will blend well with your skin if the color closely
matches your complexion. Swiss is very sheer and seems to disappear when it touches your skin, however it is fragile and requires careful handling when
removing the lace and cleaning it of adhesives. We now offer German French lace, which is as sheer as Swiss and as resilient as French. It is the preferred
lace for full wigs and hair units.
My little girl has short hair that won't grow. Does she qualify for a Precious wig? Little girls must suffer from severe to devastating hair loss to qualify for a
Precious Wig donation.
Is it easy to dye a full lace wig if you don't like your color? And how do you do it? You should never use permanent color on wigs that are previously
processed, as it can discolor the lace and damage the hair. Semi-permanent hair color can be applied by a qualified stylist. You can use permanent and lift tint
colors on virgin wigs.
Is it okay if one or two of my head measurements is a half inch or one inch larger than the measurements for your stock wigs? Will it still fit me? The half
inch or one inch difference can cause the wig to gap or pucker and fit improperly, however if the circumference (1), forehead to nape measurement(2), and the
temple to temple across the back of the head(5) measurements are the same, the wig should fit well.
Can you make my wig with a widow's peak? Yes, your wig can be made with a widow's peak, however it takes more expertise to install a wig that has a
widow's peak.
How do I determine which density to select for my wig? What is natural density? Ideally, you should select a density that closely matches your original hair
thickness so that the wig will look natural on you and inconspicuous to others. 100% density is the average thickness of a healthy head of hair. If you prefer
thicker or thinner hair, you will increase or decrease the density accordingly.
Can I wear a lace wig if I have a full head of hair? Full lace wigs were originally designed for alopecia and other hair loss sufferers, however with the
resurgence of popularity among celebrities, lace wigs are adaptable for wear by those with full heads of hair. More expertise is required to install lace wigs

According to the adhesive method use, these units can stay securely attached up to 40 days. For sanitary reasons, Ms Lola recommends removing them at

Yes, but you will probably find that a half wig will fit better, especially if you have hair on the sides of your head. For a custom fit, it is a good ideal to make a
template, which is easy to do yourself. For the other customizations, you can still use the custom order form.
How close do you cut the lace back to the hairline of the wig? Always try your wig on first to determine how much lace to cut back to the hairline of the wig. You
should never cut the lace all the way to the hairline of the wig or excessive hair shedding will result. If you have a high forehead or hair loss you will cut the lace
closer to the hairline; if your hairline is lower, you will leave more lace to bond with your skin.

Can I swim or go to the gym and sweat with my frontal lace unit on?
Yes. You can do your usual activities on a daily basis. Only avoid swimming or sweating for 24 hours after applying adhesives and tapes. If you use the No Tape
bond adhesive, you only have to wait until it is dry. Other than that, no one will ever know the hair is not growing from your own scalp! Make sure you use a
waterproof adhesive. Not all adhesives and glues are waterproof. The combination of the Scalp Protector and No Tape bond adhesive will ensure the strongest

Use my styling foam to redirect the hair as you like and then sit mannequin under a hood dryer until completely dry .
I like to wear my wigs pulled back in a tight ponytail. Can you create a hairline with a very light density, that would not look so wiggish? A hairline that,
when pulled back in a tight ponytail,i could see some scalp around the edges. You can order a custom wig with lesser density around the front hairline to
achieve the appearance you want.
I am considering the band aide application method. I work out everyday. Will sweat loosen bond on the band aide or cause an odor. What about
shampooing with this method? Excessive and repeated perspiration can cause the band-aid application to loosen. The band-aids can smell of sweat, as it
takes longer for them to dry under your wig. I do not recommend shampooing the wig on your head with the band-aid method.
For the freestyle wigs, do you have to cut the wig or can you just comb and style? Freestyle wigs are uncut and unstyled, so that you can cut (trim), comb and
style them as you choose.
I have never worn a lace wig. I am planning on buying a full lace unit soon. My question is, can I go to the hairdresser to get my head wash and set with a
lace wig on? It is not advisable to have the wig shampooed on your head. It is best to thoroughly shampoo, condition and set the wig while off the head and then
re-install it on your cleanse skin and hair.

How far back should you cut the lace of your wig, before installation and what should I be careful not to do when cutting my lace wig? You should cut the
lace approximately 1/8" from the hairline of the wig. You should not cut so close to the hairline of the wig that you do not leave a sufficient area (about 1/2") for
bonding to your skin. Tip: Always try wig on first before cutting the lace. This will allow you to see how close you can safely cut the lace to the hairline of the wig.
Can your wigs be secured without bonding? I prefer not to use bonding. I saw on the Tyra show that she secures her wigs with hair pins. I have tried
many types of adhesives but none will hold for more than a day or two. My wig always ends up sliding to the back. Currently, we do not offer glueless wigs
or wigs that can be attached with hair pins, only ones designed to be attached with adhesives and clips. The bonding method you're using may be the reason
your wig does not stayed secure. You may want to try layering (using 2 to 3 adhesives at a time) for stronger bonding.
What is the hair density for your stock full lace wigs with clips? All units are 100% density unless otherwise stated in descriptions.
I was wondering, when ordering a wig, can you measure length from the nape of the neck or is it only from the crown? You can measure the wig in both
areas because all strands of hair for our wigs are the same length. For example, if you select 8-inch hair, hair strands will be 8 inches at the crown and the nape.
My wig will not stay bonded for longer than an hour and I have tried every adhesive including MLAC. It starts puckering and lifting in the back first and then
the sides and front until it is completely lifted. What am I doing wrong? An application should definitely last longer than one day. A wig bonds optimally when
it fits your head like a glove. The way you're describing the progressive lifting, it sounds like your wig might be too large. This will cause gapping and air pockets,
therefore adhesives can not keep lace bonded to your skin.
Is the French lace stiff, or is the German French stiff? I love the stiffness. It keeps its shape and lays better as well as bonds good for me. French lace is
more stiff than German French lace.
Is the lace frontal cap with clips the same as a full lace with clips. And can I get ether one with the mono-filament crown? The frontal with clips is not the
same as a full lace wig with clips. Please see the cap designs on our Cap Designs page to see the difference. You can have the mono-filament top with either
cap design.
What is the best, soft, most natural hair between the remy, Malaysian, and European, for me as a black women? European hair is the softest hair origin of
the three. Either origin can be processed with yaki texture, which is the texture most comparable to a black woman's hair texture.
And what does 180% density look like in a wig? Would that be a Beyonce wig? Yes, Beyonce does wear most 180% density wigs.
I'm very interested in the Vanity wig (Kena) and wanted to know the density on this unit. If it is too thick for my liking, can i also custom order the density?

How do I make baby hair on my unit? Section the hair that you'd like for the baby hair. Twist it in a swirl and then use a razor, cutting in a downward motion to
achieve thin natural looking baby hairs.

you do need to submit your measurements.
What is the difference between single, double, triple bleached knots? Hairs are tied through the lace foundation and knotted at the base of the cap to
construct the wig. Single knots are tied once; double knots are tied twice; triple knots are tied three times. The more the knots are tied the greater the
reinforcement and likelihood of shedding.
I suffer from alopecia but still have much hair, relaxing my hair 4 in 4 months with child relaxers and making a brushing/weekly . If I apply a lace wig and if I
went swimming, will my natural hair get wet? Unless you are completely bald under the wig, your hair will get wet from swimming.
I would like to know how much lace is available for parting on your synthetic wigs. Our synthetic wigs are front lace only, with a parting width of approximately
three inches from front to back.

The hair on my crown is thinning. I love short hair and do not want a long style. Can you make me a short wig that's tapered in the back? The shortest lace
wig that is recommended is 4 inches. If it is longer, the knots can come undone from excessive combing. For the style you're looking for, I suggest a crown unit
for length and fullness. You would cut your own side and back hair short to blend with the unit. Please visit our Client Gallery and see my client who is wearing a

Can I successfully dye about three inches of a black full lace wig platinum from top to bottom on one side? If so what product do you recommend? You can
only dye virgin wigs which have never been processed with coloring or other chemicals. You should never dye wigs that have already been processed with color
or chemicals.
What if you have a lot of baby hair and side burns? Would I have to remove them, or can I just cover them with the full lace wig? The lace of wigs will not
bond to hairy areas, so you will have to shave away excessive hair or used my band-aid method to protect your hairline.
Can you exercise while wearing the wig? Will sweat loosen the bond? Can I wash the wig on my head like I do with my own? You can exercise while
wearing the wig. The bond should not loosen if you use waterproof adhesives that will provide a secure bond. You can not shampoo the wig on your head like
your own hair. You can lightly shampoo the wig on your head if you have little to no hair underneath.
Can you please give me some advice on cleaning my wig? I can not remove the glue from the lace? I recommend that you use Ms Lola's Lace
Release/Adhesive Remover in conjunction with 99% alcohol. Allow the my remover to soak into the adhesive for several minutes, then use a cotton ball soaked
in alcohol to wipe away the adhesive. Repeat as often as necessary until all adhesive is removed.
Does transparent lace blend with all skin tones? Transparent lace is a pinkish color and not actually transparent (invisible). It is suitable for Caucasian and
very light African-American skin tones.
Do I have to apply adhesive behind/around the ear area with a full lace cap? If your wig fits properly (snugly like a glove) you do not have to apply adhesive
behind the ear area, not even for the full lace cap design.
What is the difference between full lace wigs and full cranial prosthesis? Both units are the same. Full cranial prosthesis is the term that insurance
companies use for full lace wigs.
What are the differences in laces? French lace is more durable than Swiss, yet not as transparent, but will blend well with your skin if the color closely
matches your complexion. Swiss is very sheer and seems to disappear when it touches your skin, however it is fragile and requires careful handling when
removing the lace and cleaning it of adhesives. We now offer German French lace, which is as sheer as Swiss and as resilient as French. It is the preferred
lace for full wigs and hair units.
My little girl has short hair that won't grow. Does she qualify for a Precious wig? Little girls must suffer from severe to devastating hair loss to qualify for a
Precious Wig donation.
Is it easy to dye a full lace wig if you don't like your color? And how do you do it? You should never use permanent color on wigs that are previously
processed, as it can discolor the lace and damage the hair. Semi-permanent hair color can be applied by a qualified stylist. You can use permanent and lift tint
colors on virgin wigs.
Is it okay if one or two of my head measurements is a half inch or one inch larger than the measurements for your stock wigs? Will it still fit me? The half
inch or one inch difference can cause the wig to gap or pucker and fit improperly, however if the circumference (1), forehead to nape measurement(2), and the
temple to temple across the back of the head(5) measurements are the same, the wig should fit well.
Can you make my wig with a widow's peak? Yes, your wig can be made with a widow's peak, however it takes more expertise to install a wig that has a
widow's peak.
How do I determine which density to select for my wig? What is natural density? Ideally, you should select a density that closely matches your original hair
thickness so that the wig will look natural on you and inconspicuous to others. 100% density is the average thickness of a healthy head of hair. If you prefer
thicker or thinner hair, you will increase or decrease the density accordingly.
Can I wear a lace wig if I have a full head of hair? Full lace wigs were originally designed for alopecia and other hair loss sufferers, however with the
resurgence of popularity among celebrities, lace wigs are adaptable for wear by those with full heads of hair. More expertise is required to install lace wigs
when you have longer or thicker hair.

What is the difference between frontals and half wigs?
Ms Lola specifically designs frontals for hair loss across the entire front hair line, from ear to ear, characterized as traumatic alopecia. Half wigs are designed
specifically for hair loss on the crown of the head, characterized as androgenetic alopecia. Please note that these are general applications and vary with each
individual. To ensure an accurate fit, please use measuring charts and templates supplied within this site.
Can I attach the lace frontal and half wig myself?
Absolutely. The units are easily attached with adhesive bonds or tapes, and special clips. For your convenience, Ms Lola has included an application video
within this site.
How long can I wear the lace frontal or half wig without it releasing?
According to the adhesive method use, these units can stay securely attached up to 40 days. For sanitary reasons, Ms Lola recommends removing them at
least every 14 days to throughly shampoo and condition your own hair and scalp.
I have a large bald area on my crown. Can I still wear a lace frontal?
Yes, but you will probably find that a half wig will fit better, especially if you have hair on the sides of your head. For a custom fit, it is a good ideal to make a
template, which is easy to do yourself. For the other customizations, you can still use the custom order form.
How close do you cut the lace back to the hairline of the wig? Always try your wig on first to determine how much lace to cut back to the hairline of the wig. You
should never cut the lace all the way to the hairline of the wig or excessive hair shedding will result. If you have a high forehead or hair loss you will cut the lace
closer to the hairline; if your hairline is lower, you will leave more lace to bond with your skin.
What is Remy/Remi Indian hair?
Remy hair, also called virgin, cuticle or cut hair; is the highest quality human hair you can find on the market. I only produce wig and hair units with the best
Remy hair available on the market. The hair is in the most natural state, free from chemical processing of any kind. Remy hair is special because each bundle
comes directly from a single donors head. This allows each bundle to keep the consistency of texture, color, and length. It is then cleaned and sorted to be

Yes. Remy hair can set and blown dry to suit the individual. It is the softest and most natural hair available to buy. It looks and feels like actual hair, because it is!
This hair is not something you see in at the beauty supply store. Use heat in moderation with all lace wigs and hair units.
How Long will my hair unit last?
Lace wigs and hair units can last for several months or even years depending on your usage and upkeep. The types of glues that are used during the
application method also applies to the life span of your unit. If you plan to wear your unit continuously, the natural need for a new unit will become greater as the
hair naturally degrades due to extended periods of use.
Can I swim or go to the gym and sweat with my frontal lace unit on?
Yes. You can do your usual activities on a daily basis. Only avoid swimming or sweating for 24 hours after applying adhesives and tapes. If you use the No Tape
bond adhesive, you only have to wait until it is dry. Other than that, no one will ever know the hair is not growing from your own scalp! Make sure you use a
waterproof adhesive. Not all adhesives and glues are waterproof. The combination of the Scalp Protector and No Tape bond adhesive will ensure the strongest
and best water resistant application available.
How do I care for my frontal or full lace wig?

Do you offer wig repair services?
Ms Lola offers repair services for wigs and hair units that are purchased from MsLola.com ONLY. Repair units are sent to the factory on the 15th of each month
or the next business day if the 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday. The approximate repair time for all units is 5 to 6 weeks after unit is shipped to the factory. Hair
units must be freshly shampooed with all adhesives removed from the lace or we will send it back to you. All repair fees are due before unit will ship to the
factory. SEVERELY DAMAGED WIGS CAN NOT BE REPAIRED. Please contact Ms Lola before sending any unit for repairs.

What shipping method do you use?
United States orders are shipped via UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day, 3-Day Select (select locations), and UPS Next Day Air Saver. UPS will only deliver to physical

instances, customers may order a unit that is not right for them and wish to return it. In these cases, Ms Lola will allow customers to exchange the unit for
another one of equal or lesser value, minus a 10% restocking fee and shipping charges; or issue store credit in the amount of the unit, minus a 10% restocking
fee and shipping charges. Cash refunds will not be issued. Adhesives and Solvents can not be returned unless the wrong product is shipped.

CUSTOM wigs, half wigs, 3/4 wigs, closures, frontals, and weft hair may be returned if the workmanship is defective, if the wrong unit is shipped or if the unit is
not the unit ordered. Under either of these circumstances, Ms Lola will have the unit remade at her expense. No cash refunds will be given, as the units are
made especially for you, therefore you can not return a unit simply because you've changed your mind after receiving it. All remake units will be made with the
EXACT specifications from the original order form. Please do no ask for changes, as this will constitute a new order and you will have to pay for a new order.
If you do have to return a unit for one of the above reasons, you must contact Ms Lola within 48 hours of receiving the unit to request return authorization. No

Do you have a payment plan for frontals, half wigs, and full lace wigs?
Yes. For your convenience, I offer a two-payment plan where you pay one half the cost when placing the order and the other half before your unit ships.You can
expect completion time for hair units to be 5 to 6 weeks for standard production, 21 to 25 days for a rush production. Add three additional days to either
production time for the unit to arrive at MsLola.com.
Do you offer repair services for wigs?
Ms Lola does offer repair services for wigs that are produced by or purchased from MsLola.com. These services are hair re-ventilation, rip and tear repairs.
Pricing starts at $100 and up according to the extent of repairs or hair re-ventilation.
Do you have any full lace wigs in stock?
Yes. We have a large supply of lace wigs in stock that are ready for immediate shipment. We also have some frontals and half wigs in stock, although these
units are no longer shown online. Please call us at 252-337-9844 for availability of these units.
Is there an additional cost for the consultation? What are the costs for application, and styling? Ms Lola does not charge for consultations and fittings.
Installation costs are $150 to $200 depending on application method. Ms Lola will also offers complete wig styling after installed. Standard salon prices apply.
If a wig is already sold can you still make an order for that same wig?
Yes. You may custom order the same wig and receive it in as little as 25 days with a rush production.
Do you offer wig repair services?
Ms Lola offers repair services for wigs and hair units that are purchased from MsLola.com ONLY. Repair units are sent to the factory on the 15th of each month
or the next business day if the 15th falls on a Saturday or Sunday. The approximate repair time for all units is 5 to 6 weeks after unit is shipped to the factory. Hair
units must be freshly shampooed with all adhesives removed from the lace or we will send it back to you. All repair fees are due before unit will ship to the
factory. SEVERELY DAMAGED WIGS CAN NOT BE REPAIRED. Please contact Ms Lola before sending any unit for repairs.
What is the Shipping and Delivery Time?
The shipping time for ALL IN STOCK items is within 24 to 48 hours. The shipping and delivery time for ALL CUSTOM frontals, crown-frontals, and full lace wigs
is 2-5 days after unit is received at MsLola.com.
What shipping method do you use?
United States orders are shipped via UPS Ground, UPS 2nd Day, 3-Day Select (select locations), and UPS Next Day Air Saver. UPS will only deliver to physical
addresses, therefore billing addresses that are PO Boxes, orders must be placed at 252-337-9844 so that billing information can be confirmed, after which the
order can ship to physical addresses; International orders are shipped USPS Priority or Express, and UPS Standard or Worldwide Air Saver. PLEASE NOTE: We
do not ship to addresses that are not the billing addresses.
Do you ship overnight?
Yes, we ship overnight. Simply select "Next Day Air Saver" at checkout.
What are your return and refund policies for wigs and frontals?
Ms Lola makes every attempt to represent stock wigs and hair units accurately so that customers will be happy with their purchases. However in a few
instances, customers may order a unit that is not right for them and wish to return it. In these cases, Ms Lola will allow customers to exchange the unit for
another one of equal or lesser value, minus a 10% restocking fee and shipping charges; or issue store credit in the amount of the unit, minus a 10% restocking
fee and shipping charges. Cash refunds will not be issued. Adhesives and Solvents can not be returned unless the wrong product is shipped.
CONDITIONS THAT APPLY FOR RETURN UNITS
- You must contact Ms Lola within 48 hours of receiving the unit for return authorization.
- Units must be returned in the EXACT original condition, which means the lace can’t be cut or damaged; the hair can’t be altered in any way.
- After authorization is given, unit must be returned in 5 business days.
We reserve the right to refuse exchanges if our return policy conditions are not met. If you have any questions, please contact Ms Lola before finalizing payment.
No exceptions will be made to this new policy.
CUSTOM wigs, half wigs, 3/4 wigs, closures, frontals, and weft hair may be returned if the workmanship is defective, if the wrong unit is shipped or if the unit is
not the unit ordered. Under either of these circumstances, Ms Lola will have the unit remade at her expense. No cash refunds will be given, as the units are
made especially for you, therefore you can not return a unit simply because you've changed your mind after receiving it. All remake units will be made with the
EXACT specifications from the original order form. Please do no ask for changes, as this will constitute a new order and you will have to pay for a new order.
If you do have to return a unit for one of the above reasons, you must contact Ms Lola within 48 hours of receiving the unit to request return authorization. No
returns will be accepted without prior authorization from Ms Lola. Once authorization is given, all returns must be shipped with signature or delivery confirmation.
VERY IMPORTANT: Wigs and hair units must be returned within 7 business days of receipt, in the original condition, which means the lace can not be cut or
damaged; the hair can not be altered in any way. Customers are strongly advised to check all orders immediately and to try on the hair units before cutting the
lace or restyling the hair. NO RETURN OF WIGS AND HAIR UNITS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 7 DAYS.
Wig and hair units must be in the original condition, which means the lace can not be cut; the hair can not be altered in any way. Customers are strongly advised
to try on the hair units before cutting the lace or restyling the hair to ensure that the units fit correctly. Ms Lola will not accept any returns where the lace of the wig
has been cut or the hair has been altered. ABSOLUTELY no exceptions will be made.
